This is my new pouty face! Trust me, I know exactly what I'm doing.

Drake went for his 2 month check-up on Monday. He weighed 10 lbs. 8 oz, and was 21 3/4 in. His pediatrician said he was very "social" and "interactive" for only being 2 months. He did well with his shots...he got 5 in the leg and then one was oral. He really didn't cry much considering.

Update on Working Life

I returned back to work this week on Wednesday. The first day was definitely the hardest! I cried when I had to leave Drake behind at daycare, but he didn't seem to mind. The next two days were much easier. He's attending an in-home daycare with five other children. His caregiver's name is Mrs. Lin (short for Linda). He adjusted really well! I guess when you're his age you're pretty content as long as someone feeds you, changes you, and makes you comfortable to sleep. Mrs. Lin tells me everyday when I pick him up what a "good baby" he is. I really like her and she is very good with Drake.

Tomorrow, Sunday, Drake will be two months! It is so hard to believe he is already that old. Monday he goes for his two month check-up and shots. I will be sure and update my blog with his length and weight after the appointment.

This is the first time that I braved cutting his nails. He was getting too many scratches on his face. His aunt had cut them prior to this because I was too chicken!

Drake wore this outfit home from the hospital and now 4 weeks later it's already getting snug. The cap is even tighter on his head.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Drake just wanted to say Happy Halloween to everyone! He has so many different outfits for Halloween we decided to start wearing them today. He may continue to wear them until Saturday. Either way, I'll make sure he wears them all and post pictures of him in each one.

Length and Weight Update

Today Drake went to the doctor for a length and weight update. As most of you know he was 6 lbs. 8 oz. at birth and 19 inches long. He is now 7 1/2 lbs. and 19 1/2 inches long. He is getting big too fast!

For those of you who don't know. The last couple of months of my pregnancy have been a real challenge. I went in August 4th for preterm labor and had to stay in the hospital for four days. Upon my discharge from the hospital I learned that I would not be able to return to work and would be on bedrest. Just when I thought things were going well, I returned to the hospital on August 25th and stayed for 3 days before being discharged. However, the very next morning I returned to the hospital once again because the contractions had begun again. This time though I only had to stay for a day. I returned to the hospital one more time in mid-September (I don't even remember the date...just that it was a Sunday morning) for contractions, but only stayed about five hours and was sent home. Here we are October 1st and now this little boy is being very stubborn and choosing not to come. I am officially full-term and almost 38 weeks so I definitely feel that it is time!!! Hopefully my next post will include pictures of Drake.
